Reset Launchpad on macOS

Open your favorite terminal emulator, such as Terminal or iTerm2.

The following command wil reset the launchpad to default settings.

defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true

Sinds Launchpad is part of the Dock, to make the changes go into effect, let’s restart Dock.

killall Dock
